We are currently seeking a skilled Lead Software Engineer in Test to join our talented Intelligent Engineering practice and work with our USA-based client within the personal and car loan industry.
Your Role:
In this role, you will develop and execute test automation strategies for our client’s complex technical stack, ensuring that our solutions meet the highest quality standards. You will be involved in API (Rest Assured) and UI testing (Java/ Selenium). The main stack of the project is Java/ Typescript and Angular.
What you’ll do:
- Develop, maintain, and enhance the test automation framework to support our tech stack: Angular frontend, GraphQL service layer, Java backend with Camunda for workflow orchestration and Aurora Postgres DB
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define, design, and implement test automation strategies and best practices, ensuring high-quality releases
- Design, develop, and execute automated test cases and test suites for functional, integration, and end-to-end testing
- Integrate automated tests into our Jenkins-based deployment pipelines and work closely with the DevOps and Development teams to troubleshoot and resolve issues
- Ensure seamless integration of our application with external third-party services and a legacy mainframe application, requiring cross-collaboration with SMEs and Quality Engineers
- Continuously review and optimize test coverage, test execution time, and resource utilization
- Report and track defects, provide detailed reproduction steps, and work with the development team to resolve issues
- Participate in Agile ceremonies, including daily stand-ups, sprint planning, and retrospectives
- Stay current with industry trends and advancements in test automation, incorporating best practices and emerging technologies into our processes
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field
- 10+ years of experience with Selenium UI automation to create automated testing
- 10+ years of experience in API test automation
- Working knowledge and experience using GIT
- 5+ years' experience with Cucumber, FitNess, or similar frameworks
- Familiarity with Jenkins or similar CI/CD tools for managing deployment pipelines
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail
- Strong communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively in a remote, cross-functional team environment
- Fluent in English, both written and spoken
